What services does Help to Pass offer?
Driving courses for every level: beginner, intermediate and refresher, each matched with a DVSA approved instructor in Bristol.
How do I book driving lessons with Help to Pass?
Pick a starting package above, or go straight to the enquiry form. Pay the £25.99 admin fee and we’ll match you with an instructor.
Are your instructors qualified and experienced?
Yes. Every instructor is DVSA approved and enhanced DBS checked, and teaches in a dual-control car.
Can I choose the timing of my lessons?
Yes. We run 7 days a week, including evenings, so lessons fit around work, college or school.
What is the block payment option?
There isn’t a block discount - you can pay per lesson as you go, or pay for your full course upfront, whichever suits you better.
How do I know which course is right for me?
Pick beginner, intermediate or refresher, then choose the hour package that best matches your experience. Packages are a guide only - you can stop early if you’re test-ready, or top up with your instructor if you need more. Choose Regular or Intensive on the booking form depending on the timescale you need.
Do you offer intensive driving courses?
Yes. Intensive is one of our main services - several lessons a week over a shorter period, including help when you already have a test booked. See our Intensive driving courses in Bristol page for details. If your test is within 3 weeks, call us before booking online.
I have a driving test soon - can I still book online?
If your test is within the next 3 weeks, please call us instead of booking online. We need to check instructor availability before taking the admin fee. If it’s more than 3 weeks away, you can book as normal - including intensive courses. More on our Intensive driving courses page.
Do you support nervous learners or learners with additional needs?
Yes. We offer patient, supportive tuition for nervous and anxious learners and people with additional needs including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. You can tell us what would help before we match you. See our Nervous learners page for how we approach this.
What safety measures do you have in place during lessons?
All lessons are taught in dual-control cars, sized to be easy for a new driver to handle, by DVSA approved instructors.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson?
Speak directly to your instructor with as much notice as you can give - they’ll confirm their own cancellation policy with you.
How do I prepare for my driving test?
Your instructor will build up to mock tests and practice on the routes around your test centre as your date gets closer.

Is Help to Pass available in all UK cities?
We currently only cover Bristol (both Avonmouth and Kingswood test centres ). If you are located outside of Bristol, please contact us before making a booking to confirm whether we can cover your area.
